This disclaimer covers the MapleFresh game server, launcher and website ("the service"). It sits alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
In short: MapleFresh is an unofficial fan project. It is provided as it is, without promises, and MapleStory belongs to its owners.
1. Not affiliated with Nexon or Wizet
- MapleFresh is a free, fan-made, not-for-profit game server emulator, run by fans for preservation and community play. Optional NX purchases only help pay for hosting, development and running the server.
- MapleFresh is not official. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Nexon, Wizet or any of their companies.
- MapleStory and its names, logos, art, music and characters are trademarks or property of their owners. We use them only to recreate the classic game for fans, and we claim no ownership of them.
2. Rights holders
We respect intellectual property. If you hold rights in something used here and want it removed, reach us through our contact details with what it is and where it appears. We act on genuine requests quickly.
3. Virtual items and NX
NX, mesos, items, characters and houses are virtual. They have no real-world value, can't be exchanged for money and are licensed to you to use in the game, not owned. Purchases follow section 7 of the Terms of Service.
4. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always be online, free of errors or bugs, or that progress can never be lost. Servers, rates, features, domains and backup servers may change or stop at any time.
5. Downloads and the launcher
- Download the launcher only from this website or the MapleFresh launcher. We can't vouch for copies from anywhere else.
- We scan our downloads (see the virus scan link on the front page), but you install and run them at your own risk. Some antivirus programs flag game clients and launchers they don't recognise.
6. Links to other sites
Links to other websites and services are for convenience. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability.
7. Player content
Chat, forum posts, guild names, house decorations and other things players make are the views of the players who made them, not of MapleFresh or its staff.
8. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, MapleFresh and its staff aren't liable for any loss or damage from using, or not being able to use, the service. Section 12 of the Terms of Service has the details.
